Democrats will take back the White House if they follow a bold, progressive vision to win in 2020, former ICWA fellow Pramila Jayapal (India, 1994-96) and Mark Pocan write in an opinion piece for USA Today. Both Democratic representatives are co-chairs of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
“There is a false choice being presented to voters in 2020—a narrative that claims Democrats should aim lower and promise less if we want to beat President Donald Trump,” they write. “We disagree completely.”
