Neri Zilber lands an exclusive interview with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak for The Daily Beast. Although generally a leftist, Barak is a hawk when it comes to Iran. Nevertheless, he advocates keeping the Iran nuclear deal in place: “I think this deal was bad, I said it in real time, and other approaches should have been taken,” he said. “But once it was signed it’s no longer a philosophical question, it’s a practical question.” Neri was a fellow in Israel in 2011-2013.
