LGBT Liberians who, after backlash against gay rights in 2012, “have begun to organize and be more public in their demands for equality. But two presidential races—last November’s election of Donald Trump and the selection of a successor to Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf this fall—threaten to undo that progress.
