Former ICWA fellow Willy Foote (Mexico, 1995-1997) urges building on the Nobel Committee’s recognition of the UN World Food Program for its role securing peace. Writing for Forbes magazine, he says global attention should focus on the plight of smallholder farmers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The problem is not that there isn’t enough food to nourish everyone,” he writes; “the problem is that too many can’t afford to put food on the table.
