The delta variant has forced Israel to rethink its Covid-19 strategy, former fellow Neri Zilber (Israel, 2011-2013) reports in the Financial Times.

With its high vaccination rates, Israel had been hailed as a resounding Covid success story. But infection rates are climbing due to the Delta variant, and the government is reintroducing new restrictions for first time since January. “We have to be alert, not panicked or hysterical,” the director of infection prevention at Sheba Medical Center told Neri.
