Kathleen Hendrix (1940-2023) was a Los Angeles Times reporter who championed rights for women, LGBTQ+ people and others. She joined the Bill Clinton administration as deputy director of the President's Interagency Council on Women at the White House and later served as senior advisor to the State Department's Vital Voices Global Partnership for programs, as well as an advisor to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation's Humanitarian Prize.
